Red Cross is collecting help throughout the country

Croatian Red Cross is collecting material donations. Citizens can bring them to their nearest Red Cross location.

In Zagreb, you can bring the donations to the Collecting Center (Sabirni Centar) Siget 18A, Super Andrija – working days from 8AM to 8PM; Saturdays and Sundays from 8AM to 4PM.

Companies that want to donate some of the following products can contact the Red Cross via e-mail: redcross@hck.hr or prikupljanje-sredstava@hck.hr.

The products that refugees need are the following:

Toast/dry biscuit

Cheese 'singles' (wrapped slices)

Canned fish

Chicken pate

Dates/Raisins

Baby food ( jars – porridge, formulas for mixing with water)

Dry cookies – small packages

Mini soap bars

Wipes for disinfection, without alcohol

Baby diapers, various sizes

Sanitary pads

Medical supplies needed!

Ministry of Heath invited all citizens willing to assist the process of providing medical assistance to refugees by donating medicines, medical
supplies and equipment to contact the Crisis Headquarters of the Ministry of Health by email zdravstvo.donacije@miz.hr.

Rijeka: Palach is collecting donations

Palach (Kružna, 8, Rijeka) is now a collecting centre for items that will be distributed to refugees in the following days. You can bring donations every day from 9AM to 9PM.

NGO Roda is collecting baby slings until the end of September

All kinds of baby slings are needed – mei-tai, wraps, structured baby carriers... If you have pictorial manuals together with the slings, please bring them too. You can bring your donations to RODA's offices (Čanićeva 14, Zagreb), on working days from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM or to RODA's shop – Rodin let (Ilica 133, Zagreb), on working days from  9AM to 7PM. You can also send them via post (on your cost) to the addresses listed here.

Sisak: Caritas and Charity foundation Merhamet Sisak are collecting donations

Citizens can bring their donations every day to Caritas' residence (Trg Vere Grozaj bb, Sisak), or to Caritas' offices in their districts. You can also donate money by payment to the bank account HR9324070001500314548, with reference number HR00 092054 and indication Help for refugees (Pomoć izbjeglicama).

Charity foundation Merhamet Sisak is collecting primarily toiletries (shampoo, showering gel, soap), canned food without pork, baby food, crackers, dry biscuits. You can also bring groceries for hot meals: rice, pasta, beans, oil, etc. Bring your donations to Charity foundation Merhamet Sisak, H. N. Preporoda 10, Sisak Caprag on working days until 6PM.

Association Our Children Opatija is collecting donations

You can bring your donations to their offices at Maršala Tita 157, Opatija, on working days from 8AM to 8PM, and on Saturdays and Sundays from 10AM to 1PM. They are collecting the following products: paper tissues, wet tissues, baby diapers (all sizes), sanitary pads (toiletries in general), paper, crayons, toys (only rubber and plastic), coloring books and balls.

Otvorena mreža is collecting donations

Activists from Otvorena mreža are going to help organisations working in Beli Manastir and refugees - of course. They will help the Red Cros to establish wifi connections and offer other technical help.

They are collecting SIM cards, batteries, solar panels, internet routers, etc. Contact them via info@otvorenamreza.org or via phone: 091-3000-606.

Red Cross Beli Manastir is collecting donations in their offices. They need toiletries (toothbrushes, soaps, toothpaste, razor blades), milk for babies, and food ready for consumption. For more information, contact: CK Beli Manastir : 031/703-422.

Developers, graphic designers needed

There is an intiative to make a platform/web to coordinate all information related to refugees. If you would like to participate in it, join the Open Zagreb Hack Night on 21st of September, at 6PM – at Zagreb's Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (Unska 3, Zagreb), in the TCR room on the ground floor.

Volunteers needed in Varaždin

From 18th of September (at 8 PM), donations will be collected on town's main market (kiosks turned towards the children's playground). They are collecting toiletries and canned food, and are in the need of volunteers to help pack and arrange things. More here.

Ministry of Social Policy and Youth looking for volunteers

People interested in helping the refugees and with good knowledge of farsi, arabic, pashtu, somali or urdu - contact the Ministry of Social Policy and Youth, via phone: 01/555 7243 and 01/555 7104.

Volunteers for work with refugee children

Volunteers are needed for workshops with refugee children. Workshops will be organised by UNICEF, and a lot of people will be needed in order to carry out the project. Volunteers would work in shifts, 4 hours each day. The costs of transportation to the refugee camps and centres would be covered, and volunteers would probably also get some money for their work.
